TOKYO (Reuters) – Who said bras are only for women? A Japanese online lingerie retailer is selling bras for cross-dressing men and they've quickly become one of its most popular items.

Since launching two weeks ago on Rakuten, a major Japanese web shopping mall, the Wishroom shop has sold over 300 men's bras for 2,800 yen ($30) each. The shop also stocks men's panties, as well as lingerie for women.

"I like this tight feeling. It feels good," Wishroom representative Masayuki Tsuchiya told Reuters as he modeled the bra, which can be worn discreetly under men's clothing.

Wishroom Executive Director Akiko Okunomiya said she was surprised at the number of men who were looking for their inner woman.

"I think more and more men are becoming interested in bras. Since we launched the men's bra, we've been getting feedback from customers saying 'wow, we'd been waiting for this for such a long time'," she said.

Wow. I have seen plenty of men that needed one. Will there be men of the runway in next year's Victoria's Secret show? Frankly, I'm fascinated, Super Saiyan.

Ok, pardon me for my confusion.....Why wouldn't a cross-dresser wear a woman's bra?  Are these made differently??  It's not like men have a third-shoulder to account for....

Not to argue with their obvious success, but I would have second thoughts about my product knowing that Cosmo Kramer and Mr. Costanza came up with the idea first.....

    I've heard it said that part of the reason men are fascinated by breasts is because men don't have them, or at least not the same. 

    Not sure if that's true or not but I do know we men are obsessed by things we cannot or do not have, so it makes sense on that level.

    Now that men have a bra made for them, they have obtained at least part of what they could not previously have.  Perhaps part of the obsession is now changed to self-obsession.
