Batman fans got an early holiday present Monday with the release of the second teaser trailer for "The Dark Knight Rises."

The third and final installment of director Christopher Nolan's superhero trilogy doesn't hit theaters until July 20, 2012 — but fans got another look at Tom Hardy's masked, hulking villain, Bane, who vows to kill a bloodied and beaten Batman (Christian Bale) "only when Gotham lies in ruins."
