Gov. Chris Christie’s criticism of his own party over Hurricane Sandy aid might have hurt him with some national Republicans, but a new poll shows New Jersey voters ate it up.
According to a Quinnipiac University survey released Wednesday, 79 percent thought Christie was right “to criticize Speaker John Boehner and House Republicans for delaying a vote on a Hurricane Sandy relief bill,” compared to just 15 percent who thought he was wrong.
Even Republicans, by a 70 percent to 22 percent margin, said it was the right thing to do.
